The State Hermitage Museum

One of the largest, oldest, most important, and most famous art museums of human histor and culture in the world. Made uo of six buildings, including the Winter Palace (official residence of the Russian Tsars), the New Hermitage, adn teh Hermitage Theater. Houses 2 of the 10 known DaVinci paintings. We only had time to see at most 1 or 2 paintings in the rooms that we visited.

Pavlovsk Palace

Summer residence of the Russian Tsars about 30km from St. Petersburg. It is now an art museum. Most of the art was removed during WWII. The Nazis occupied the Palace, burnt, and destroyed it. It was later restored by the Russians. Official Site

Town that used to belong to Finland. We stopped here to visit the market on the way back home.
